We are all storytellers

Here at Bluebonnet Cinema, we are looking for untraditional stories that deserve to be told. Humans everywhere live complex, dynamic lives; We make films that highlight some of the lesser known, but no less profound, human experiences.

We were founded with the belief that to be human, is to be worthy. Cinema has the ability to inspire, educate, and spark change. The power of film shouldn’t solely be harnessed by those with influence, Hollywood connections and money.

What we do

Purchase scripts and bring them to life

We love reading unique and meaningful scripts. We will accept pitches that are script excerpts, but we won’t finalize a purchase unless a full script is available. We pay fair wages and are especially interested in hearing from burgeoning writers from under-represented communities.

Financially back projects we believe in

We are happy to executive produce films that are looking for financial backing. We typically fund shorts or short-to-features, both fiction and non-fiction.

make documentaries that inspire change

We’re tired of over-polarized propaganda films masked as documentaries. We ask hard questions and search for unbiased answers. We present multiple sides to every argument. There is no agenda here - except finding the truth.

Option film rights for books we love

We work with authors to option their novels. We then work closely with them to bring their vision into script form, which we then turn into an incredible film.
